About the Role: 

Our Rigger's are responsible for the safe installation, upgrade, maintenance, and decommissioning of telecommunications infrastructure. This role involves working at heights on towers, rooftops, poles, and other structures to install and maintain antennas, cabling, mounts, and associated equipment to support mobile, wireless, and broadcast networks.

 

The role requires a strong focus on safety, technical competence, and compliance with industry standards, while working in challenging environments and varying weather conditions. The rigger works closely with project managers, engineers, and other field technicians to ensure network builds and upgrades are completed efficiently, safely, and to specification.

Day to day you will: 

  • Rigging and installation of telecommunications equipment on towers and structures

  • Working safely at heights using approved fall-arrest and rigging systems

  • Installation, testing, and securing of antennas, feeders, and ancillary equipment

  • Adhering to health and safety requirements, permits, and site-specific risk assessments

  • Conducting site inspections and reporting defects or hazards

  • Maintaining tools, equipment, and accurate job documentation

What experience you'll bring: 

  • Proven experience working as a Telecommunications Rigger or in a similar role within the telecommunications or utilities industry

  • Demonstrated experience working at heights on towers, rooftops, poles, and other elevated structures

  • Hands-on experience installing, upgrading, and maintaining telecommunications equipment such as antennas, mounts, feeders, and cabling

  • Experience using rigging equipment, fall-arrest systems, and rope access or climbing systems

  • Strong understanding of health and safety requirements, including site risk assessments, permits, and safe work procedures

  • Experience working to build plans, technical drawings, and installation specifications

  • Ability to work independently in the field as well as part of a team

  • Experience completing job documentation, checklists, and reporting defects or hazards
