About the Role: This is a maternity leave cover fixed term contract - 13 months from September 2026 to October 2027
The Finance Analyst reports to the Finance Partner Lead by delivering accurate and timely transactional finance operations across accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor claims and billings, inventory accounting, and month end reporting. The role is responsible for ensuring financial transactions are processed efficiently, recorded accurately, and reconciled in accordance with company policies and reporting requirements. Key responsibilities include supporting accounts payable and receivable functions, assist with month-end and year-end close processes, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, and maintaining robust financial controls to ensure the integrity of financial information. The role also supports continuous improvement initiatives, driving greater efficiency, accuracy, and compliance across finance processes.
Day to day you will:
· Manage end-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment runs, customer billings, and collections.
· Process supplier payments and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Administer vendor rebate and claims processes, ensuring accurate reporting and timely reconciliations.
- Monitor inventory transactions and perform inventory reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, including journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and audit requirements.
- Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and internal procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance finance processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and administrative support as required by the Finance Partner Lead.
What experience you'll bring:
- Relevant degree qualification in Accounting or Finance. Telecommunications, technology, or Distribution, Logistic and Supply Chain industry experience is advantageous.
- Previous experience in a Finance Analyst, Finance Administrator or similar finance role.
- A team player with a can-do attitude and growth mindset.
- Proactive, organised, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Inventory system, ERP/accounting systems (e.g. D365, MYOB, or similar).
- High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, month end process and reconciliations, and financial controls.
