About the Role: 

Entelar Group is looking for an Audio Visual (AV) Technical Specialist to join our team of ICT professionals delivering high-quality corporate AV solutions across a broad customer base.

In this role, you will be responsible for installation, commissioning, fault diagnosis, and resolution of complex AV environments. You will also support knowledge transfer across the team and continually develop your own technical capability.

This role demands strong problem-solving, excellent communication, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to get things right the first time.

 

You will build internal and external relationships, meet deadlines under pressure, support government, health and business customers, and contribute positively to the wider team culture.

 

WHAT YOU’RE RESPONSIBLE FOR

• Installation, implementation, diagnosis and resolution of complex corporate AV meeting room solutions
• Maintaining safe work practices in line with team Health & Safety systems

 

WHAT SKILLS & EXPERIENCE YOU NEED

• Knowledge of electrical, data and audio cabling, Pro AV standards and control systems (e.g. DSP, HDMI, Dante, Q-Sys, AMX, Crestron)
• Understanding of how AV integrates with IT networks
• Proven experience in pre-wire, fit-off, commissioning and programming AV and automation systems
• Experience or certifications in Crestron, Yealink, Q-SYS Level 2, Dante, AMX, Lenovo, Logitech, Nureva, Tesira Biamp, Netgear and Poly preferred.
• Electrical, Site Safe, Working at Heights and First Aid beneficial — training can be provided
• Minimum 3 years in a similar AV operational role
• Excellent communication with the ability to simplify complex information
• Positive, proactive attitude with a growth mindset
• Strong judgment and problem-solving with follow-through to completion
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
• Full NZ driver licence
• Competent use of power tools and hand tools, safe working practices and practical fault-solving skills
